FANCY a spot of yellow eye mullet crude, dry aged beef or abalone?

Parramatta diners best be shining their shoes and straightening their collars with two of Sydney’s best fine dining offerings tipped to take the local dining scene to the next level.

Rockpool dining group has confirmed it will bring two of its premium restaurants to Parramatta’s first five star hotel at 8 Phillip St.

Fine dining offerings from Rockpool Bar and Grill and Saké will add to the development’s highly-anticipated entertainment precinct which includes Sydney’s highest rooftop venue, Studio 54.

Carnivorous offerings will be in line with Rockpool Bar and Grill menus in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, including fresh seafood or dry aged steak at a price tag more than $200.

Saké Parramatta will be the sixth iteration for the restaurant bringing a “distinct, unique spin to tried and tested Japanese flavours” in what it touts as one of Australia’s best Japanese restaurants.

Developer, Coronation Property, said it would cement the site as a ‘premier gastronomic destination’.

“The commitment by Rockpool Dining Group to open restaurants of this calibre further underpins the economic strength Parramatta CBD has to offer,” Coronation Property managing director Joseph Nahas said.

“As a local property developer, we know Rockpool Dining Group will be warmly welcomed by

food lovers in this part of the world ... No longer do food connoisseurs, or those simply wanting a nice evening out, need to travel lengthy distances to experience a higher standard in dining.”

Rockpool Dining Group’s chief executive Thomas Pash hinted at more to come in the west.

“Market research and customer data across our premium brands indicates that Parramatta will welcome and support two, and possibly more, of our top restaurants,” he said.

When 8 Phillip Street is completed in 2020, it will incorporate 18 storeys of boutique QT Hotel accommodation, beneath 35 storeys of residential apartments.

The two restaurants will complement the hotel’s own restaurant as well as a grand ballroom and multiple event and meeting spaces.
