Northmead: Mum charged with drink driving offence

A mother has been charged with drink driving after being stopped with her two children, aged five and seven, in the car at Northmead overnight.

A mother has been charged with drink driving after being stopped with her two children, aged five and seven, in the car at Northmead overnight.

Parramatta police were patrolling Church St, North Parramatta, just before 10.30pm last night when they stopped the woman on Moxhams Rd, Northmead, after her manner of driving.

The 40-year-old driver underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Parramatta police station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.136.

She was charged with mid-range PCA and her licence was suspended immediately.

She is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on February 27.

Family and Community Services have been notified about the incident.
