Mohamed Marbany fronts Parramatta court after father Nour killed in Merrylands car crash

A man left court crying after his brother – a father of six – was allegedly killed in a horror car crash in Sydney’s west.

A man who allegedly killed his brother – a husband and father-of-six – in a horror car crash, has left court in tears.

Mohamed Marbery, 23 was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death (dangerous speed) and negligent driving occasioning death.

No pleas were entered as Marbery faced Parramatta Court on June 22.

Nour Marbany, 35, was allegedly a passenger in a Holden Commodore travelling on Hawksview St about 5pm when it collided with a reversing Hyundai i30 on April 15.

The Holden rolled and hit an unoccupied parked HiLux ute.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, Nour Marbany died at the scene.

Nour ‘s wife wrote a touching tribute following the incident, with an Arabic phrase from the Koran.

“You’ve shattered me into a million pieces. Inshallah [If God wills] I can be strong enough to raise your six kids,” she wrote.

“Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.”

Several friends and family offered comfort to Mrs Zreika and her family after their loss.

Hawksview St resident Jemma Achi said she heard multiple “bangs” when the car flipped and crashed close to her residence.

A 37-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing at Westmead Hospital.

The road was closed for about six hours while police carried out their investigation.

A maximum penalty of 10 years in jail applies for the charges.

Mohamed Marbany left Parramatta Court with defence lawyer Abdul Saddik in tears after his matter was adjourned to August 17 for brief status (committal) at the same court.
