Mark Zeiter, Christopher Zeiter and Jackleen Zeiter accused of paying truck driver $9000 to smuggle contraband into jail

Three western Sydney siblings, one of whom is pregnant, face corruption charges after allegedly paying a truck driver more than $9000 to smuggle drugs into jail.

A group of three Greystanes siblings face corruption charges after allegedly paying a truck driver more than $9000 to smuggle contraband into the Geoffrey Pearce Correction Centre at Berkshire Park.

Siblings Christopher and Jackleen Zeiter have been charged after allegedly supplying contraband to the Corrective Services NSW employee to be trafficked into the facility.

Jackleen, 35, and Christopher, 32, were arrested at their home just before 8am on July 10 when police and the Dog Squad seized electronic devices from the property.

Christopher was charged with corruptly give/offer to give agent benefit, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, supplying a prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and supplying a prohibited drug.

He appeared by himself at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday but his pregnant sister was excused for having a medical appointment.

She was charged with corruptly give/offer to give agent benefit, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

Their brother Mark, 37, is in custody and was not required to appear via video link at court on Tuesday.

Court papers allege that between April 1 and May 18, Jackleen dealt with $24,739 in the proceeds of crime and gave $1200 to a truck driver to smuggle drugs into the jail.

Court papers allege Christopher gave the truck driver $3000 as a reward for allegedly introducing contraband into the jail on June 16.

Police allege he supplied 49.9g of the prohibited drug Buprenorphine and 28.1g of a prohibited drug at the Berkshire Park prison ween July 6 and 8.

He was charged with corruptly give/offer an agent benefit, two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and knowingly direct activities of a criminal group after his arrest during a vehicle stop at the Geoffrey Pearce Correction Centre on July 8.

Court documents allege Mark, who is in custody at Silverwater Correctional Complex, allegedly gave the truck driver $5200 as a reward at least three times at Berkshire Park between January and July.

He was charged with corruptly give/offer to give agent benefit and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

The driver is also facing charges for his alleged participation in the plans and will next appear at Windsor Local Court on September 24.

Brandon James Green, 28, has pleaded guilty to paying the truck driver $600 to smuggle contraband into the jail in October 2019 and February 2020.

During an interview, police allege the driver said he had brought contraband to the prison, twice for Green. Green will be sentenced on Thursday.

In May, Corrective Services Investigation Unit detectives started an investigation under Strike Force Cantrill after reports of a man’s corrupt activity.

Christopher and Jackleen’s bail was continued.

The three siblings’ matters will return to Parramatta Local Court on September 10.
