Guildford: Man stabbed on Eve St, group seen leaving in SUV

A group has ambushed a man in Sydney’s west where he was stabbed in the leg before the group fled the scene in a four-wheel drive. Here’s what we know.

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed at a house in Sydney’s west.

Police were called to Eve St on Tuesday following reports of the stabbing about 8am.

In a statement, police said the victim did not know the attackers.

“Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived to find a 62-year-old man had been stabbed in the leg after being approached by a group of unknown people who then left the scene in a SUV,’’ it read.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Fire and Rescue teams erected tarpaulins to preserve evidence at the home, where police concentrated on the garage and driveway areas.

Police established a crime scene and an investigation into the incident has began.

Inquiries are continuing.
