Greystanes Centre Newsagency sells winning $12 million Powerball prize

Western Sydney has a newly-minted resident but they’re oblivious to the fact they are $12 million richer. IS IT YOU?

The Tricks and Hacks to Winning the Lottery

A punter who bought a ticket at Greystanes Centre Newsagency has scored a staggering $12 million in a Powerball draw — but has yet to claim the division one prize.

Last night’s jackpot was the first time an Australian has won a $12 million Powerball prize.

The sole winner in the 1221 draw purchased the ticket at Greystanes Shopping Mall at Merrylands Rd but was not a registered player so NSW Lotteries cannot contact them.

Greystanes Centre Newsagency employee Thu Than said he could not wait for the winner to be united with their incredible prize.

“We were thrilled when we saw we had sold the life-changing prize.

“All our customers are so excited and are busy checking their Powerball tickets.

“We certainly hope we’ll be checking the winning ticket soon.”

NSW Lotteries spokeswoman Lauren Cooney called for those who had a flutter at Greystanes Centre Newsagency.

“You may think there’s no way you could be the winner we’re searching for but someone is walking around with a $12 million ticket in their pocket,’’ she said.
