Cold Chisel coming to Bankwest Stadium for Blood Moon Tour

Western Sydney concertgoers are being treated to another headline act in our backyard, months before Elton John will perform at the same venue.

Get your Cheap Wine ready, Parramatta, because Aussie rock legends Cold Chisel are set to perform at Bankwest Stadium.

Led by frontman Jimmy Barnes, the group has announced it will rock Parra with their raucous tracks on Thursday, January 24, as part of their Blood Moon Tour.

The Hoodoo Gurus, Birds of Tokyo and Busby Marou are part of the gig, for which tickets will go on sale on October 21 at 11am.

The Working Class Man group has billed the event as its first outdoor summer tour, which kicks off at Fremantle in Western Australia on New Year’s Eve before rocking Adelaide, Victoria, Hunter Valley, Tamworth ahead of the Parramatta gig, which is bound to sell out.

In June, Elton John was announced as the first big musical gig for Bankwest Stadium on March 7.

It’s considered the biggest coup for the venue since the King of Pop Michael Jackson performed at the former Parramatta Stadium in November 1987.
