The third and final stage of a 1100-apartment complex at Merrylands will feature the largest public park in the centre of the suburb.

Developers Aland released plans for 310 units and four shops across three buildings will round out The Gladstone Village, which will sit in a 2.3-hectare masterplanned precinct once completed.

The building trio will reach between 12 and 16 storeys.

Once completed the complex, which PTW Architects and Land Form Studio Landscape Architects have designed, will surround a large central park.

Aland development senior manager Anas Rahhal said stages two and three were designed

simultaneously to achieve the best urban design.

“The result is a family of towers unique in their own identity,’’ he said.

Each building will include rooftop spaces for residents with infinity viewing decks, tranquil garden sanctuaries, flexible lawn, barbecue pavilion spaces and an outdoor cinema.

The complex is part of a precinct that features more than 2500sq m of open space, including the delivery of the largest public park in the Merrylands town centre.

“This final stage will round off a transformational project to the northeastern edge of the Merrylands town centre,” Aland head of development Ryan Lane said.

“With the delivery of multiple parks, future road and cycleways and enhanced walkable connections and activated streetscapes, The Gladstone Village will become a vibrant public realm for all ages.”

Construction on Quartz, the first phase of the village at 224-240 Pitt St, is under way and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
