Patrons who have visited the Albion Hotel at Parramatta have been warned to get tested for COVID-19 after a patron visited the popular pub while infected on Saturday, September 5.
NSW Health issued a warning for anyone who visited the beer garden and pavilion between 8.15pm and 11.15pm to get tested because they were considered a close contact.
They must isolate for 14 days even if a negative test result is received.
NSW Health also advised anyone who attended Oatlands Golf Club at Bettington Rd on Friday between 6.30pm and 8.45pm to undertake testing and isolate for 14 days.
Anyone who attended the Bavarian Night Dinner in the Bistro on Bettington’s main dining room is a close contact and should isolate and get tested immediately.
The fresh case at the Albion was one of nine new cases in NSW reported in the 24 hours to 8pm last night when 20,852 tests were conducted.
One of the positive cases is a returned overseas traveller in hotel quarantine, seven are linked to a known case or cluster and one from South Eastern Sydney has no source identified at this point.
One case attended Tattersalls City Gym, and one is a household contact of a previously reported case linked to the CBD cluster. Both of these cases were isolating. There is now a total of 68 cases linked to the CBD cluster.
Five of the locally acquired cases are linked to Concord Hospital. Two healthcare workers, one patient and two household contacts of the patient.
The two healthcare workers worked at the hospital while potentially infectious but reported having no symptoms while at work and wore personal protective equipment while caring for patients. Contact tracing is underway.
Twelve people associated with Concord and Liverpool have now tested positive for COVID-19, including eight healthcare workers. Investigations into the source of these infections are ongoing.
Non-urgent surgery at Concord has been cancelled until Friday. The hospital will be closed to all visitors from 8am on Wednesday until 10am on Friday 11 September to enable all wards to be deep cleaned.
As well as the Albion Hotel, anyone who attended the following venues should get tested after infected cases visited there:
● The Crocodile Farm Hotel, Ashfield on Friday 4 September between 5.30pm – 6.30pm for at least an hour.
● The New Shanghai Night restaurant, Ashfield on Friday 4 September between 6.30pm -8pm for at least an hour.
