NSW childcare centres ranked by KindiCare

With so much choice, picking the right childcare can be a real struggle. But a leading website has come to the rescue and ranked every facility across NSW. Find out your childcare’s score.

Every childcare centre in NSW has been ranked thanks to industry website KindiCare.

The top rated centre in the state is Goodstart Early Learning Tuggerah, with a rating of 9.89/10.

At the bottom of the pile is Muck-A-Bout in Charmhaven with a score of 5.74.

KindiCare said its rating is “unique” and developed to enable parents and guardians, childcare providers, childcare educators, directors and government to compare the quality of services provided in Australia.

The KindiCare rating is a number out of 10 taking into account the quality, performance and customer satisfaction of a centre in comparison to other facilities.

The rating is also influenced by government service quality audits, ratings, reviews, trends and community feedback aggregated by KindiCare.

The type of childcare service is also taken in account along with the characteristics of the provider, centre and offering, the currency and quality of the information available for the service and the stability and length of operation.

Sharnee Fancett, centre director at the number one centre Goodstart Early Learning, said the key to success was the part they played in the wider community.

She said through that connection they can help their children understand their impact on the world around them.

“At Goodstart Tuggerah we believe what set us apart from other services is our team,” she said. “We are extremely fortunate to have a very diverse team that work from a strength and passion based approach.

“We have a common goal to provide an exceptional level of education and care for our children, our families and one another.

“We excel in our commitment to becoming a part of the wider community. Though these connections we are able to enhance children’s understanding of their impact on the world around them.

“These leanings have been evident through many community projects including; raising money to support the koala’s during the bushfires and connecting with a local age care community to establish an inter generational activities program.”

She also spoke of the honour of being recognised and reiterated that success of the centre boils down to its community focus.

“To be recognised at this level is an extraordinary honour for our team,” she said.

“It has provided the opportunity for us to collectively stop and reflect on our journey and celebrate the significant impact we make each day and hopefully inspire others to also work in these ways.

Closely following in second place is Lansvale Public School Preschool, Canley Vale (9.83).

The Belrose Community & Children‘s Centre, Belrose is third (9.82) with the Peak Sports and Learning TIGS, West Wollongong (9.80) in fourth.

Joint fifth place are Smiley Tots Preschool & Early Learning, Chinderah and Jannali Pre-School Kindergarten, Jannali (both 9.79).
