Police search for Eastwood robbers impersonating officers
Two men dressed as detectives have robbed a money exchange shop in Sydney’s northwest.

Police have released CCTV footage of two men they are searching for in relation to a robbery in Sydney’s northwest.
The men allegedly entered an Eastwood money exchange shop on Rowe St at about 1.20pm last month, on March 20. The men identified themselves as police officers when they were speaking to a 54-year-old female staff member and a 31-year-old male customer.
One of the men forced the customer to the ground, while the other jumped over the counter and emptied the contents of the safe into a bag, before taking the pair’s wallets.
Both men left the store and drove away from the scene.
Neither witnesses were injured during the incident.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command were notified who attended the scene and commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, investigators have released CCTV vision of two men they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
CCTV vision shows the men enter and exit the currency exchange via a staircase from a ground-floor store.
One man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, about 182cm tall, with medium-length strawberry blond hair.
Another is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, aged in his late 20s, about 180cm tall, with short black hair, and a trimmed beard.
Both are depicted wearing black suits with white shirts, black ties, and sunglasses.
Detectives are urging anyone who may be able to assist to contact Ryde police station or Crime Stoppers.
