Police allege a white Ford Ranger and a white Hino truck pulled into the service station before the Hino driver Oktay Demir is then alleged to have approached the other driver.

It is alleged Demir, 41, from Auburn, pulled off the other man’s shirt and punched him a “number of times” before he allegedly threatened the 34-year-old man with a box cutter and a struggle ensued.

Demir is then alleged to have released the box cutter, got back into his Hino and left.

Following inquiries, Demir was arrested at Auburn Police Station about 7pm that day and was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Demir was granted bail at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.

He was ordered to report to Auburn station daily between 6am and 9pm, live at his Auburn address and not contact the alleged victim.
