Model railway exhibition on this weekend
Rosehill Gardens will be transformed into an array of model railways for the annual Great Train Show this weekend.
Thousands of model train enthusiasts are expected to flock to Rosehill this weekend for the Great Train Show.
The annual Epping Model Railway Exhibition is on at Rosehill Gardens over the long weekend.
Last year the exhibition moved to Rosehill after it outgrew its previous home at the Thornleigh Basketball Stadium.
This weekend marks a special milestone for the massive exhibition, which celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Visitors will be treated to a huge range of model railway displays and layouts, and trade stands.
Displays include the four-track East Maitland layout, originally build by members in 1987-1988, and a detailed model of the junction station and yard at Stockinbingal in the Riverina, originally built between 1990 and 1995.
The exhibition will be open from 9am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday and 9am-4pm on Monday.
Entry to the exhibition costs $8 for children, $11 for seniors and $15 for adults, or $40 for a family and tickets can be pre-purchased online.
