Milad Zamani: Man charged over alleged prescription fraud across Sydney

A 37-year-old Ryde man has been charged over allegedly altering dozens of prescriptions to get access to drugs at pharmacies across Sydney.

A man has been charged over allegedly altering dozens of prescriptions to get access to drugs at pharmacies across Sydney.

Milad Zamani, 37, from Ryde, was arrested and charged with using a false document to obtain property (x25), utter prescription which includes prohibited drug, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (x2) and possess forged prescription.

It comes after police from North Shore Police Area Command and Kuring Gai Police Area Command commenced a joint investigation in February after reports of fraudulent prescriptions being used at a pharmacy in St Leonards.

Following inquiries Zamani was arrested during a vehicle stop on Dorset Drive in North Epping about 2pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 June 2020).

Police will allege in court that the man altered documents to obtain prescription medication at various pharmacies across Sydney between 2018 and 2020.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
