Hayri Emert charged with drug offences after Marsfield raid
Hayri Emert has faced court after officers investigating drug possession and supply from a Marsfield unit block raided a garage in the complex and allegedly found 500g of cocaine and sums of cash.

A man has been charged with a series of drug offences following an investigation into suspected drug activity in Sydney’s northwest.
Hayri Emert faced Liverpool Local Court on Friday via video link after being arrested by police on Thursday.
Detectives swooped on the 48-year-old after an investigation into alleged drug possession and supply from a unit block on Crimea Rd in Marsfield.
Officers executed a search warrant on Thursday in the garage of the complex, where they allegedly seized 585g of cocaine and a money counting machine.
A unit on Busaco Rd, Marsfield, was also searched and officers seized $12,500 in cash, $3237 in US currency and an electronic stun device.
Police also allege the Marsfield man was in possession of nine grams of cannabis.
He has been charged with three counts of deal with property proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug — commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity), and possess prohibited drug.
Mr Emert’s solicitor Fadi Abbas told the court an application for his release on bail was being prepared and the matter was adjourned to June 12.
Mr Emert was remanded in custody and is expected to apply for bail at his next court date.
