More than 360 people have tested positive to COVID-19 in Sydney’s north as the number of confirmed cases across NSW rose to 2032 cases.
Sydney’s north has had the highest number of tests with 15,415 tests being taken and of that figure there have been 364 confirmed cases, according to the latest NSW Health data.
That breaks down to 38.08 cases every 100,000 residents giving a 2.36 per cent positive rate - an increase from 2.02 from last Friday.
To date, there were 51 confirmed cases in Ryde.
There were also two coronavirus clusters in Ryde’s local government area; stemming from transmissions at Dorothy Henderson Lodge starting from February 24.
NSW Health reported 18 people were infected in this cluster as of Sunday (March 29) yet today it was announced two more residents at the Macquarie Park aged care facility tested positive to the virus.
A second cluster started at a church service held at Ryde Civic Centre on March 8 where initially four people tested positive including the evangelist.
To date, 19 infections were reported from this cluster, according to NSW Health.
Nearby Hunters Hill recorded 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases, while Canada Bay which includes Drummoyne, Concord and Rhodes had 14, a jump from 7 last Friday, as of the latest NSW Health results.

Currently, there are 164 COVID-19 cases being treated across NSW with 35 cases in Intensive Care Units.
Of those, 16 required ventilators, an increase from nine last Friday.
More than 50 per cent of the remainder of cases being treated by NSW Health are through Hospital in the Home services, according to a NSW Health statement.
