SEA Eagles fans will not have to wait long to see their heroes back in action, with the club confirming on Wednesday trial games versus the Sharks and Roosters.
On Saturday, February 17, Manly will play Cronulla across three grades at Southern Cross Group Stadium in Woolooware.
Seven days later coach Trent Barrett’s NRL squad will head to Gosford to take on the Sydney Roosters in their annual Community Cup clash.
Given that will be their final hit-out before the NRL season proper, the Sea Eagles are expected to be close to full strength at Central Coast Stadium.
The Tricolours, early 2018 premiership favourites, are likely to field key recruits Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco.
Sea Eagles lock Jake Trbojevic (pectoral) is not expected to play in either trial game following recent surgery. He was injured representing Australia in the World Cup versus England.
Dynamic centre Dylan Walker (shoulder and ankle) is also racing the clock to take on the Newcastle Knights on Friday, March 9, at McDonald Jones Stadium.
