MANLY kickboxer Dan Roberts will fight for the East Coast super heavyweight title this after beating former Storm NRL player Justin Milo.

“The Pain from North Steyne” lived up to his nickname after his well-credentialed opponent could. not return for the second round.

It was the second fight ina row that Roberts has finished a rival in the first round.

It was his most dominant performance,” said trainer Nick Stone from the Bulldog Gym in Balgowlah.

“Even though it was only one round, he looked good, he looked sharp and I was very happy.

“The other guy was a very tough opponent and he definitely came to fight — he had a lot of power in his hands.”

But he could not match Roberts’ superior grappling technique.

On June 27 Roberts will have his title bout against Mark Dennis at Norths Leagues.

Dennis had a record of six wins from seven fights.
