GOALS from Sam Coupland and Anna Nakao saw Wakehurst stun previously undefeated Manly Vale 2-0 on Sunday in the women’s MWFA Premier League.

It was a statement of intent from Donna Stuart’s squad, who are gaining momentum with the semi-finals approaching.

“You always like beating the competition leaders,’’ Stuart said.

“It was 0-0 at halftime, but the girls didn’t panic, they believed in themselves.

“I also like the direction we are heading as a team.”

Elsewhere, Beacon Hill beat Brookvale 3-2 and Seaforth thrashed HSU 3-0.
