THE Manly Marlins have recorded their 10th win in a row by beating Eastwood 42-22 at Manly Oval today.
The victory means the team remain undefeated in top spot on the Shute Shield ladder.
It was also significant because Eastwood are again considered one of the big premiership threats this year.
Manly raced to a 25-5 halftime lead after two tries to backrower Harry Bergelin and one to winger Lui Siale.
Winger Dane Chisholm added two penalties goal and two conversions.
At the start of the second half Manly went to sleep and Eastwood raced in two quick tries, narrowing Manly’s lead to 27-17.
But then the Marlins took control again with prop Mitch Lewis and centre Mali Hingano scoring tries.
Chisholm added two more conversion and a penalty.
The margin could have been greater if Many did not have two tries disallowed after the break.
Bergelin’s double takes his tryscoring tally so far this seasons to an amazing 13.
