Yupeng Chen, 19, was arrested just before 2am on October 16 after he was allegedly seen by police driving on the wrong side of the road on the Pacific Hwy in Killara.

NSW Police said officers pursued Chen in his Toyota before he allegedly lost control of the car and careered into a guard rail on the highway at Pymble.

Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to the front of the car with the guard rail also coming off worse for wear.

Chen’s matter was heard in Hornsby Court on Thursday.
