A man from Sydney’s north shore has been charged after allegedly performing a Nazi salute and making racially charged remarks at a pub.
On February 2, officers received reports of a man allegedly racially abusing people in the Northbridge area.
Police allege the man was yelling racially hatred words and performed a Nazi salute at a licensed premise along Strathallen Ave.
A security guard from the premises asked the man to leave.
Police arrested a 40-year-old man in Chatswood on Tuesday. He was charged with knowingly displaying Nazi symbol in public without excuse and making a gesture in a public place that is a Nazi salute.
He was issued a court attendance notice and will appear before Hornsby Local Court on April 16.
