Jacarandas in full bloom across Sydney’s north shore
THE search is on for the north shore’s most beautiful jacaranda street. Do you have a picture to send in?
SYDNEY’s north shore has been named as one of the top jacaranda hot spots in the state according to Destination NSW.
While Grafton is the epicentre of purple bloom appreciation thanks to its famous festival, our leafy suburbs are fast becoming a drawcard for tourists who are keen to take in the stunning sight of jacarandas.
The peak season of October and November is one of the most beautiful times of the year with several locations including Longueville and Greenwich set against harbour backdrops.
But not everyone loves the trees with equal fervour – some residents have said that the constant droppings of sap and flowers can be a pain to clear up from yards.
We want to hear your thoughts. The North Shore Times is calling on readers to submit pictures of jacarandas on your streets. With your help, we can locate where the most magnificent area inhabited with jacarandas is on the north shore.
Tell us and send your photos of jacarandas to editor@northshoretimes.com.au
