COMEDIAN Greta Lee Jackson is the star of a new web series set in Luna Park.
In Love is a Roller Coaster, Ms Jackson’s character Pam has to endure a series of terrible dates – from a selfie obsessive to a knight in not-so-shiny armour.
Ms Jackson, who also wrote the series, based the characters on some real-life experiences.
“It’s based on dating disasters,” she said.
“Real life is often stranger than fiction and definitely more interesting.”
The four episodes have already notched up thousands of views on YouTube.
On her dates, she visits Luna Park highlights, including Coney Island, the Ferris Wheel, the Hair Raiser and The Deck. And it was all filmed in just one day.
“It resonates with people and they can share it,” she said.
Ms Jackson is a graduate of Mosman High School and grew up on the lower north shore after moving from New Zealand.
She credits the school for kickstarting her creative career. It’s where she started scene making, sketch comedy and filmmaking.
She is part of the Skit Box sketch group and starred in the Active Wearviral hit, which has 3.7 million views to date.
She has also appeared on the ABC and has a new show in the works called Wham Bam Thank You Maam for iView.
Ms Jackson is also a star of stand-up comedy circuits in both Sydney and LA, and has sold out shows at the Sydney Comedy Festival.
