A masseuse working in one of Sydney’s wealthiest postcodes has just been granted bail as he faces a string of sexual misconduct allegations, including one count of alleged rape.

Peyman Yazdi fronted Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday after he was arrested at his Killara home on Tuesday night following a police investigation into sexual misconduct at a Mosman wellness clinic.

The 50-year-old masseuse, who has yet to enter any pleas, has been charged with four counts of allegedly sexually touching another person without consent and one count of alleged sexual intercourse without consent.

These charges relate to two alleged victims who are not known to each other.

On Saturday, police launched an investigation following reports a woman, aged in her 20s, was allegedly sexually assaulted by Yazdi during a massage.

Police will allege Yazdi twice sexually touched this woman without her consent between 6:30pm and 8pm at Mosman.

According to documents tendered to Hornsby Local Court, Yazdi allegedly rubbed his hand over this woman’s anus and rubbed his hand underneath her underwear, towards her vagina.

The following day police received a further report from a different woman regarding a separate incident alleged to have occurred at the same Mosman business.

Police will allege Yazdi twice sexually touched this woman without her consent by massaging her anus with his fingers and rubbing his hands over her vagina.

According to court documents, Yazdi is also alleged to have raped this second woman — by allegedly having sexual intercourse with her without her consent.

At Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday Yazdi’s defence lawyer Dev Bhutan applied for bail surrounded by his client’s family who cried throughout the proceedings.

The court heard Yazdi is originally from Iran and has no record of prior offending.

Magistrate Gareth Christofi granted Yazdi strict bail, on the condition he not work in any capacity as a massage therapist, surrenders his passport and report daily to Gordon Police Station.

Yazdi is due to return to Hornsby Local Court in September.
