SUPER sniffers will easily nose out their gift under the tree this Christmas.
A perfume range has been created for dogs by pooch lover Gilly Harriott.
The fetching Harriott & Hound fragrances are just like the human versions as there are scents for male and female dogs.
Paw femme is a perfume called White Pearl, while paw homme is Black Diamond.
“If you smell it you’ll think it’s good enough that you would want to wear it yourself,” Ms Harriott said.
“It’s a human-like smell but without all the main concentrate of chemicals.
“Anyone would think that if you are walking with your dog it might be you that smells like that but it’s actually your dog.”
Ms Harriott has three dogs: Hefner, Sir Harvey and Rosie. She has found her pets are curious about the perfume but seem relaxed and calm after she sprays them.
“Grooming is a big cost for dog owners nowadays. And many dogs — mine included — really don’t enjoy bath time that much,” she said.
“(The) fragrances were especially created to keep them fresh between grooms, so you can enjoy a close cuddle with your dog even after you’ve been for your walk in the park that morning.”
The perfumes are made in Australia and are aimed at the luxury end of the pet market.
The bottles have a stylish bulb atomiser and the packaging comes with a personal note from Hefner the spoodle dog.
Ms Harriott, who owns a waxing salon in Milsons Point, said the range was the first of its kind in Australia.
And she reckons that it will make dogs smell better than their owners.
“Our dogs make us feel special and now you can make your dog feel special too,” she said.
“What better way to do that than by helping them to smell truly beautiful — which they sometimes need a little help with, let’s face it.”
She recommends a couple of sprays on your pet’s back — or spraying it onto your hands and smoothing it through their hair.
The smell should last up to 24 hours. The female perfume includes bergamot, peony, violet, while the male scent has mandarin, cardamom and pine needle.
The perfume is available at harriottandhound.com and costs $59.
