WATCHING the New Year’s Eve Sydney Harbour fireworks from Bradleys Head in Mosman will cost the same as it did last year.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service has kept ticket prices for its sites in the area unchanged.

Fees were introduced in 2011 to control crowd numbers.

Tickets previously cost $20 for adults and $10 for children.

A spokeswoman said the NPWS received good feedback about its revised structure of separating Bradleys Head into three venues in 2015.

“As a result, there will be three venues running again this year at Bradleys Head: the Amphitheatre, Mast Precinct and Athol Lawn,” she said.

“The venues are tiered in pricing according to views and what is on offer including entertainment and food to purchase.”

More than 5000 people visit Mosman each New Year’s Eve for the fireworks.

Bradleys Head can accommodate 4900 people: the Amphitheatre (800), Mast Precinct (1600) and Athol Lawn (2500).

The NPWS spokeswoman said each venue was popular and had a set crowd capacity to ensure safety and a comfortable amount of space.

“The Amphitheatre offers unobstructed views of the Sydney Harbour fireworks,” she said.

“Views from the Mast Precinct may be obstructed by trees and uneven ground.

“Athol Lawn provides a large, open space grassed area and offers filtered views to the harbour in some sections.”

Bradleys Head is a family-friendly alcohol-free site.

People can bring a picnic or buy food at the venue.

Sites are managed by NPWS event professionals, security and cleaning staff to ensure guests stay safe and enjoy themselves.
