A brand new housing development using the famous architectural style of one of American’s most lauded holiday destinations will be built at Bonny Hills.

The Hamptons Shores will feature 30, one- and two-storey homes in a pre-existing residential estate along Seaside Dr between Bonny Hills and Lake Cathie.

A subdivision for the development has been approved by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.

The plan has been lodged by the same Sydney developers who last week The Mid-North Coast News reported had submitted a DA for a $24 million unit complex along Pacific Dr, Port Macquarie.

Laurus Developers have been contacted for comment.

Nationwide Property Developers are listing residences off-the-market ahead of their expected delivery date in 2022.

A three-bedroom, two bathroom home is currently selling for $939,000.

“Beautifully proportioned, well detailed, fresh, bright and breezy, ‘The Hampton Shores’ home brings together traditional architecture and sophisticated coastal style,” the marketing material said.

“(The) homes are modern, spacious and welcoming for both residents and visitors. The harmonious blend of coastal meets luxury; the perfect sanctuary and ultimate lifestyle for busy people. They are the ultimate expression of casual seaside living.

“With an abundant of natural light pouring in, your home will be sophisticated, calming, timeless and airy.”

The site is part of the developing residential estate known as Catarina, made up of a mix of single dwellings, medium density multi-unit housing and a future Hilltop Village comprising high-density development and a main street.

To the immediate north of Catarina is the Seawide development and to the west is an emerging subdivision, with future supermarket.

Further west is Lake Cathie Public School.

To the northwest is the established Ocean Club Resort and other residential land, both existing and under development.

The site has been identified within the council’s planning controls for medium to high-density housing. Its proponents say the complex should be built to cater to the region’s growing demand for housing.
