Taimana Kreitmeier-Cable sentenced to jail in Forster court for assaulting grandfather

A 21-year-old aspiring rapper launched a shocking attack on his 80-year-old grandfather - at one point biting and choking him leaving him unconscious.
Taimana Kreitmeier-Cable was sentenced in Forster Local Court on Thursday for what magistrate Allison Hawkins described as a “serious and prolonged attack” which left the victim with “significant injuries”.
The 21-year-old retail worker has been remanded in custody since the incident and his arrest on January 28.
He was already on an apprehended domestic violence order at the time it was heard in court.
During the assault on his grandfather Kreitmeier-Cable punched and bit his elderly grandfather and “dragged him to the ground” Ms Hawkins outlined.
The 80-year-old was also choked “to the point of unconscious” and had bleeding on the brain.
Kreitmeier-Cable appears on social media rapping at home and at public venues and recently released ‘On Hold For A bit’ via his TikTok profile @kreitmeiercable.
He pleaded guilty to three charges stemming from the attack: assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contravening a prohibition/restriction in an apprehended violence order and intentionally choking a person with recklessness.
Defence lawyer Todd Scott said he had been to see his client at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre at Kempsey and being in custody for the first time has been a huge wake up call for Kreitmeier-Cable.
But Ms Hawkins noted his sentence assessment report showed limited remorse and a resistance to rehabilitation.
Kreitmeier-Cable was sentenced to an aggregate term of imprisonment of three years and six months starting on January 28.
He was given a non-parole period of two years and four months meaning he will first be eligible for parole on . The offender is first eligible for parole on May 27, 2026.
