From cases of energy drink and a box of Wagon Wheels, through to computers and garden equipment, a Taree security guard stole a wide assortment of items from the local TAFE campus - even the contents of a donation tin meant for a local disability support service.
Wayne Roger Ussher also failed to properly secure nine guns, one being a single barrel pump action shotgun, at his Taree home.
According to documents submitted to court, the 49-year-old is the master licence holder for Allsafe Security Solutions which had a contract to protect a number of educational institutions in the Manning and Forster/Tuncurry areas.
When staff at the Taree TAFE campus started to notice things going missing, they informed police who launched an investigation.
The 49-year-old has pleaded guilty to three counts of stealing property while employed as a clerk/servant last year.
Stolen items include sausage rolls, aero bars, a box of wagon wheels, a Samsung phone, a ThinkPad computer, an iPad, a garden cart, boxes of cake and cases of energy drink.
Ussher also stole cash from a safe ($271) and money from the cash draw at the canteen ($300) and approximately $15 from the Valley Industries donation box.
A charge of recklessly destroying property - a modem, cash register and charging cords - was withdrawn.
When police attended his home they found a safe in his garage that was not properly secured.
In the safe they found nine guns including a category two single barrel pump action shotgun and ammunition.
In relation to this he pleaded guilty to being the holder of a Category C, D or H licence not complying with storage needs and a charge of being a holder of a Category A or B licence not having appropriate storage.
His matter has been adjourned to August 21.
