The case of a 73-year-old Mid-North Coast man accused of various child sex offences against a young girl has been sent to the District Court.
Kenneth Wayne Dunn appeared in Taree Local Court on Wednesday, charged with seven offences alleged to have occurred in a town in the Manning Valley region between January 1, 2001 and September 1, 2002.
The charges relate to the same alleged female victim, who was aged between 10 and 11 at the time.
Dunn is listed in court documents as currently living in a small town on the Mid-North Coast.
Charges include one count each of having sexual intercourse with a person aged 10 years or over and less than 16, and aggravated indecent assault of a person aged 10 years or over and less than 16 (rubbing the child underneath her clothing).
Dunn has also been charged with three counts of having (oral) sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 11 and one count each of inciting a person under 16 to perform an act of indecency and committing an act of indecency.
He is yet to enter a plea in relation to the seven charges.
The case has been listed for mention in the District Court on June 21.
