Police will allege that Michael Davis, 20, broke the rules of his ADVO in Taree between 8am and 11.55pm on June 4, and then again just weeks later in Port Macquarie between 8am and 8.30am on June 23.

The orders in place are for the protection of the victim, a woman who is known to the Taree man.

According to current legislation, the maximum possible penalty for contravening an ADVO is two years imprisonment and/or a fine of 50 units.

Similarly, the stalking and intimidation offence carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and fines.

Davis will defend the allegations when he reappears in Port Macquarie Local Court on October 17.

The hearing is expected to take three hours, and Davis’ bail will continue until then.
