Man, 41, dies in hospital after Taree crash
A 41-year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle on the Mid-North Coast has died in hospital two days after suffering critical injuries in the incident. Here’s what we know.

A 41-year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle on the Mid-North Coast has died in hospital two days after suffering critical injuries in the incident.
Emergency services were called to Muldoon St, Taree at 8pm on Tuesday following reports a vehicle had hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He remained in hospital in critical condition before dying in hospital from his injuries on Thursday.
The driver, a 58-year-old man, was arrested for mandatory testing.
To date, he has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
