A woman who took to TikTok to share court updates with her 30k followers has been sentenced for manufacturing massive amounts of the ingredient found in magic mushrooms.

Port Macquarie woman Kylie Lee Van Acker, who goes by MrsAussieK on the platform, has shared regular updates about her court battle.

In one video, which notched up more than 7000 views, she dances to Run DMC’s ‘It’s Like That’ with the caption “Why people that (sic) use mushrooms for mental health get jailtime”.

Van Acker and co-accused Nicholas Gerard Townsend, 44, were sentenced in Port Macquarie District Court this week for the various drugs and firearms charges.

Van Acker, 51, spent about two months remanded in custody following her arrest in August this year before being granted strict conditional bail in October.
