Kempsey woman takes home $1 million after winning division one Lotto prize

A Kempsey woman has big plans for her huge windfall, saying it will change her and her family’s lives.

A Kempsey woman was shocked to learn she’d won $1 million in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto.

The lucky local held one of just four division one winning entries in draw 4174, with the ticket making her the only winner in NSW.

Each winner will be taking home $1 million.

The Kempsey woman said the win will change her family’s life.

“This is incredible,” she told an official from The Lott after learning she’d won.

“Hang on, I need to tell my husband to pull the car over.

“I can’t believe this!”

The winner found out the good news while heading home from a trip away over the Easter long weekend.

“We’re slowly making our way home now, but we might just leave the car on the side of the road and hire a plane,” she laughed.

“Wow – times have been tough, and this is just going to change our lives.

“I’m going to get a dog, maybe buy a new car, help my family.

“Honestly, the possibilities are endless.”

The Kempsey woman said she’d played the same numbers on her Lotto entries for decades and couldn’t believe they’d finally been drawn.

“After all these years and keeping faith with these numbers,” she said.

“It’s just incredible.”

Her life-changing entry was purchased online, with the winning numbers: 7, 3, 6, 25, 28, 11, and supplementary numbers 17 and 30.
