A young man who died in a motorbike crash along a popular route on the Mid-North Coast is being remembered as a person who brought joy, love and light to everyone he met.
Isaiah Brennan died on Sunday, December 8, when his motorcycle crashed along Wilson Rd at Congarinni North, 10km from Macksville, shortly after 1pm.
Wilson Rd travels northwest from Macksville towards Bowraville in the Nambucca Valley.
Emergency services were called to the scene by a nearby resident who heard the crash.
Mr Brennan, a local from the Macksville area, died at the scene.
Owner of Macksville Motorcycles Jacob Radnidge said the road was popular with motorcyclists.
“People ride up there (from Macksville to Bowraville) and back or keep going through Bowra to Missabotti,” he said.
He said it was not a particularly dangerous road but was “fairly tight” in places.
“Any road can be dangerous,” he said.
“The community is pretty shocked, especially this close to Christmas. The family are struggling a bit and want to give him a proper send off.”
A fundraiser has been established to help raise money for Mr Brennan’s funeral.
The page was established by Renee Brennan and on Thursday morning had already reached almost $11,500.
Ms Brennan described Isaiah as a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, partner and friend who brought joy, love and light to everyone he met.
Mr Radnidge also said how “well liked” Isaiah was, and noted his “good reputation” in the local community and the bike riding fraternity.
“He was a good guy,” he said.
“He has been riding for quite some time – this wasn’t his first motorcycle by any means.”
Meanwhile police are still urging anyone with information about the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or go to nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
