The mysterious and long-running case of a NSW woman accused of making false allegations and perverting the course of justice has resurfaced in Lismore.
Deborah Irene Robinson was due to stand trial in Lismore District Court on Monday, but NSW Police states she did not show.
The 49-year-old faces two counts of making a false accusation with intent to subject another to an investigation and one count each of making a false call to an emergency service number and acting with intent to pervert the course of justice.
Charges relate to an alleged incident in March 2017.
NSW Police and Richmond Police District issued a public appeal on Wednesday to help track down Ms Robinson.
Police state she is “wanted by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant”.
Ms Robinson is known to frequent the North Coast, Inverell and the Central Coast.
“She is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of thin build, with red hair, and brown eyes,” a police statement read.
“Anyone with information about Deborah’s whereabouts is urged not to approach her and to contact police immediately.”
Police issued a similar appeal for information in May 2019 and said Ms Robinson failed to appear at Parramatta District Court on May 6 of that year.
On that occasion, an accompanying photo showed Ms Robinson with short blonde hair and large, loop earrings and made reference to her frequenting the Bundarra and Inverell areas.
The warrant for her arrest related to the same charges she was due to face in the Lismore court this week.
