Darryl Smith: Kempsey man, 29, charged with two counts of armed robbery
A man has faced court after he was charged by detectives over an alleged armed robbery last year. He is the fourth person to be charged under Strike Force Kelburn.

A fourth man has faced court over an alleged spate of armed robberies that occurred across the Mid-North Coast last year.
Darryl Peter Smith, 29, appeared at Kempsey Local Court on Wednesday where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on October 20.
Detectives attached to Strike Force Kelburn will allege that Mr Smith was one of six men involved in armed robberies conducted throughout the Kempsey area between November and December 2020.
Three other men – aged 16, 17 and 18 – have all been charged and remain before the courts. Two men remain outstanding
Strike force detectives, with assistance from Mid North Coast Police District, executed a search warrant at a home at Burnt Bridge about 7am today on Wednesday, where they seized clothing and electronic items which will undergo forensic examination.
Mr Smith was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
Police will allege in court Mr Smith threatened an employee with weapons, then stole cash, during the armed robbery of a club on Valley Way, Kempsey, around 7pm on Sunday 13 December 2020.
Investigations under Strike Force Kelburn continue.
