Zali Steggall - the key challenger to Tony Abbott in the seat of Warringah — has attended to one of her supporters who collapsed outside Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club shortly before voting closed at 6pm.

The man who collapsed is believed to be in his 30s, he is believed to have fallen outside the surf club before hitting his head.
Just minutes before the volunteer collapsed he was telling Ms
Steggall how positive the day had gone.
Ms Steggall said she would be waiting with the man until the ambulance arrived.
A person with first-aid skills, who was at the scene, said he has a serious head injury.
The man is still in the recovery position waiting for paramedics.
An ambulance was called and arrived to the scene at about 6.15pm.
