Security footage has been released of a man police want to talk to about a daring alleged snatch and grab robbery at a Sydney jewellery shop.
Detectives on the northern beaches say a man walked into the shop at Warringah Mall and made off with a $300,000 gold and diamond ring.
Police said that at about 11.40am, on Monday, October 12, last year, the unknown man entered the shop and spoke with a female shop assistant.
After her asked her if he could inspect some of the jewellery up close, the man allegedly snatched a pear-shaped, 18-carat yellow gold and diamond ring from the woman and ran from the shop.
The attendant was shaken but not injured.
To assist with their continuing inquiries police have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance, in his late 30s to early 40s, about 180cm tall, and was wearing a beige baseball cap, face mask, red and black sleeve checked shirt, dark jeans and grey sneakers at the time. He has long blond hair which may have been a wig.
