Duffys Forest: Two women injured after horse startled by dog at property
Two women have been rushed to hospital after a “freak accident” involving a horse at a northern beaches property.

Two women were taken to hospital after a freak accident involving a horse at a property in Duffys Forest.
A 49-year-old woman, who was riding the horse, was thrown off and then trampled suffering chest and shoulder injuries.
Her friend, 47, who went to her aide was kicked in the head and hand by the horse.
Insp Danielle Emerton from Northern Beaches Police Local Area Command told the Manly Daily the horse had been startled by a dog which led to the chain of events.
“There was no foul play, no concerns,” she said. “It was just a freak accident.”
Police, highway patrol, ambulance and the helicopter were called to the scene at just after 9am Friday morning.
Emergency services are at a Duffys Forest property where two people have been hurt by a horse. It was later decided that both women could travel via a ‘green light corridor’ – escorted by highway patrol, to Royal North Shore Hospital.
