THE cast of TV soap The Bold and The Beautiful hit a Sydney beach to film wedding reception scenes for the top American show yesterday.

THIS is the moment the Bold & Beautiful met The Bold And The Beautiful.

The TV stars are here as part of a deal with Network 10 and CBS, backed by tourism bosses and Qantas.

They’re filming the wedding of Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline McInnes Wood) and Liam Spencer (Scott Cliffton).

And they’ve fallen in love with the place.

Katherine Kelly Lang, who plays Brooke, said she was even considering buying a home here. She is a regular visitor, selling her kaftans on Frenchs Forest shopping channel TVSN.

“We’re thinking about looking at places over here – definitely close to the sea. I love the Manly area,” she said.

Diamont, 54, said: “We’re so thrilled to be here, it’s beautiful.”

Ridge, played by Thorsten Kaye, was spotted filming a kissing scene with Lang and offered a peek into the plot.

“My daughter got married – I think I can say that. I’m there to make sure she’s OK and I’m here to maybe get married also, to my beautiful Brooke,” he said.

The actor also hoped to have time for a snorkel with his 14-year-old daughter, who joined him in Sydney.

The show's executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell revealed he fell in love with the spot 10 years ago when the soap visited Sydney.

“I took the ferry over and rented a surfboard and surfed at Manly and noticed it back then, so I sent my guys this way and they fell in love with it,” he said.

The action moves to Manly Wharf tomorrow.

Bell revealed: “The action starts as a party and turns into some very heavy conflict and heartbreak. People will be in the water.”

Locals were kept back from the filming, though many did manage to snap selifies with the stars as they emerged from The Boat House restaurant where they waited to go on set.

Meanwhile, extras, chosen for their good looks, were paid $500 a day to walk along the beach and frolic in the water in the background.

Alex Smith, 21, from Newport, said: “It’s pretty cool”.

As well as a wedding reception, with rose wine and lobsters piled up - though all the food was fake — indigenous Australians joined the party.

The cast even danced with the performers, who were in traditional costumes.

Ten crew travelled from the States, with local staff hired in Sydney- including a team on hand with glasses of water with ice and lemon for the cast, who kept the sun off themselves with umberellas.

The episodes will be shown in the US in March, while Australian fans will have to wait until May.
