Teens arrested after brawl breaks out at Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches
Several teenagers have been arrested after a wild brawl erupted on Sydney’s northern beaches on Monday night with six police cars and ambulances rushing to the scene.
An off-duty police officer has reportedly been injured after trying to assist in breaking up a brawl involving up to a dozen teenagers on Sydney’s northern beaches on Monday night.
Police confirmed that the off-duty cop and several members of the public intervened in the fight in an attempt to restrain individuals.

Six police cars and two ambulances attended the scene around 5.45pm after the brawl spilled out from a property Ocean Ave at the intersection of Howell Close at Newport Beach.
One resident told the Manly Daily at least 12 uniformed police officers arrived as fighting subsided.
A police spokeswoman said three male youths were arrested and taken for questioning.
A number of male youths aged about 13 to 14 were seen handcuffed and leaning against a wall opposite the beach.
“Girls were screaming and there were numerous young people milling about, some wearing school uniforms,” the resident said.
“I was told that an adult stepped in to break it up and the kids turned on him before the brawl escalated.”
