Taste of Manly back for 33rd year this weekend on northern beaches

The Taste of Manly food festival is back for its 33rd years this weekend with thousands expected over two sun-drenched days

The Taste of Manly food festival is back for its 33rd year this weekend.

Thousands are expected with the sun set to shine across the two days.

This year’s theme is “Fresh — Local — Iconic” with the event showcasing the best and brightest local restaurants and brewers as well as Australia’s finest wine producers.

There will also be plenty of live music across the two days.

“Food lovers of all sorts will be enthralled with the mouth-watering delights on offer at this year’s Taste of Manly,” Northern Beaches Council mayor Michael Regan said.

“We’re proud to showcase a very vibrant line-up of local restaurants, brewers and wine producers.

“There is a great line up of live music across the event with outdoor stages, DJs and buskers to keep you entertained while you sit and enjoy something tasty.”

Twenty one local restaurants are involved including traditional Italian, modern Japanese, Swedish, Spanish, authentic Vietnamese, Middle Eastern, French patisserie, modern Australian and Mexican.

The event is free of single-use plastics.

Guests can purchase a festival glass from the brewery and wine stands on the day for $10, with each serve costing $5.

Guests can also keep their festival glass and reuse it the following year.

There will be road closures between Friday 3pm and Monday 7am between the intersections of South Steyne/Wentworth Street and North Steyne/Raglan Street.

There will also be restricted access to the public carpark on Central Ave (Central Ave residents excepted) on Saturday and Sunday, 11am — 6pm.
