BROOKVALE
A man who was stopped by police for driving an unregistered ute and texting on his mobile phone ended up being charged with being in possession of four vials of illegal steroids. The man, 21, from Dee Why, was seen driving the Toyota HiLux on Pittwater Rd about 10pm by officers who spotted the man using his phone behind the wheel. He was pulled over on Mitchell Rd where he became very nervous and shaking while talking to police. Officers found the steroids under the front seat.
BEACON HILL
A P-plater driving a will have to front manly Local Court after being charged with driving while disqulified. The man, 21, from Wentworthville, on his green Ps, was stopped by police in Lady Penrhyn Dr at 3.30pm on Tuesday. He produced a NSW licence, but officers soon discovered the licence was disqualified. This is the second time they driver has been charged with driving with a disqualified licence.
FAIRLIGHT
Two cars, parked in Union Ln and in nearby Griffiths St, were broken into overnight on Tuesday. Thieves got into a Mitsubishi and stole personal cards and then stole cash from a Mazda Cx-5. On the same night a Mazda 6 was stolen from Union Ln.
SEAFORTH
Thieves broke into an Alfa Romeo parked on Sydney Rd overnight on Monday and made off with a laptop.
BROOKVALE
A man was charged with possessing the drug “ice” after being seen sitting in his car in the industrial estate early on Friday moning. Police patrolling Winbourne Rd a about 12.30am saw the man, 46, from Brookvale, seated in a Toyota HiLux with a large box trailer attached. The man and his ute were searched. Officers found a small resealable plastic bag containing crystal granules in his sock. Police questioned the male who told police it was “ice”.
