Harley Attwater is a man of his word.
A week before the Shute Shield battle of the beaches former Warringah Rat Attwater declared Manly would end their drought again their Northern beaches rivals and they did.
And it was in no small measure due to Attwater who left the Rats mid season to join the Marlines for better first grade opportunities.

“This was special,” he declared after the match.
When asked why Manly would win the 2020 encounter before the match, Attwater’s response was simple. “Because of me”.
And it was the fired up fly half who made the difference in the match at Manly on Saturday.
Attwater scored in the 52nd minute and nailed four from five conversions and two from two penalties in the encounter.
The fly half was a staring light despite coping plenty of love from his old teammates.
“He was huge for us,’’ said Manly coach Matt McGoldrick.
“Early on this season we didn't have a good kicker and he’s made the difference.”
The win moved Manly to eighth place on the ladder, a place ahead of Warringah.
Manly’s next outing is a big task against Eastwood while Warringah have the bye.
