FORWARDS Blake Leary and Nathan Green are among the 20 players confirmed departures from the Sea Eagles for next season.
Leary along with props Siosaia Vave and Josh Starling played their final NRL games for the club in Sunday evening’s 36-6 loss to Penrith at Pepper Stadium.
The hardworking Leary joined Manly last season and played made 14 NRL appearances this season and 13 last year.while Green, who moved to the Sea Eagles this year from St George Illawarra, played nine games
Hooker Jayden Hodges is also moving on after being sidelined for the entire premiership season with a knee injury.
There could be more players moving on with doubts about the playing futures of club stalwarts Brett Stewart and Steve Matai.
Sunday’s game was a disappointing end to what has been a tough season for Manly.
Coach Trent Barrett said conceding 30 points in the first half was not good enough.
“The second half, they came out and they did well — it could have got really ugly,” he said.
