Shocking CCTV shows three men beating man unconscious

VIDEO: Horrifying CCTV vision has emerged showing a gang of men kicking and punching another man into unconsciousness at a northern beaches service station - and then the trio allegedly bashed him a second time shortly after the first attack.

HORRIFYING footage has emerged showing a gang of men kicking and punching another man into unconsciousness at a northern beaches service station.

Three men are captured on CCTV setting upon their victim in the sustained late night attack at the 7/11 petrol outlet at Newport.

The security footage shows the man, 42, vainly trying to fight off the trio as they rain down punches and kicks to his head and body during the assault that began at 11.20pm on Sunday, October 7.

The victim is eventually knocked out by a wild swinging punch to the face and a kick to the head as he is crouched on the service station forecourt at the corner of Barrenjoey Rd and Seaview St.

Then, shockingly, one of the men then kicks the victim in the head as he lays prone next to the petrol bowsers.

As the victim regains consciousness and tries to get to his feet, the trio appear to taunt him, making gestures that he stay quiet and then waving at him as they walk out of the camera shot.

The bashed man was left with a broken right arm, smashed teeth and numerous cuts and bruises.

Police allege that after the victim, a resident of Newport, pulled himself to his feet and walks into nearby Seaview St, the trio followed him and bashed him a second time.

Northern Beaches acting crime manager Guy Magee said a man driving by saw the second attack and stopped to help the victim.

Inspector Magee said the driver then helped the injured man back to the service station where he was treated by Ambulance paramedics and spoken to by police before being taken to Mona Vale Hospital.

“Three men were arrested early on Wednesday after police executed search warrants at homes in Boronia St, Dee Why, Foamcrest Ave, Newport and Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon,” he said.

“Northern Beaches detectives will allege the men were seen throwing around packets of frozen fishing bait they took from a freezer cabinet outside the 7/11 store.

“It is alleged the victim, who was walking through the forecourt, said something to the men about their behaviour before the alleged assault occurred.”

Two men, aged 26 and a man aged 27, were each charged with one count of recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company, one count of affray and one count of larceny.

They all received conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on November 21.
