THE northern beaches is set to become part of one of the world’s biggest reality brands as The Real Housewives Of Sydney TV show gets set to air.
The show, which starts on Foxtel’s Arena on Sunday night, has two beaches housewives among the cast of mostly eastern suburbs women.
Mum of two Lisa Oldfield, 41, a businesswoman and wife of former One Nation politician David Oldfield, and Melissa Tkautz, 42, a pop star and soap actor who also has two children, are in the line-up.
The women have lunch at Spit restaurant Ormeggio in the second episode, while the Oldfields’ opulent home is featured in the first.
Oldfield is already making headlines over her antics, which have included swearing at her husband in one of the trailers
and getting her pet python out to play with her children.
She told crowds at the launch at a city restaurant: “This b**** has no filter. I’ve been married to David 17 years, 11 of those very happily.”
Meanwhile, the show’s Athena X Levendi, of Bellevue Hill, told the Manly Daily the necklace she wore to the launch was worth $250,000.
The Real Housewives Of Orange County was the first version of the show – in 2006 – and there have now been more than 20 spin-off series around the world.
