Oh what a night.
Excited The Forest High School Year 12 graduates got the chance to celebrate an end to 13 years of schooling with a glamorous formal at Orso Bayside on Middle Harbour.
With two years marked by lockdowns and homeschooling — and the news their school would be demolished within the next two years and rebuilt at Allambie Heights — this year’s Year 12 group has done it tougher than any other in the history of the HSC.
So when it came to finally letting their hair down the students from the school at Frenchs Forest looked fantastic as they filed into the beautiful waterside function centre at The Spit on Wednesday night for a party, which only a couple of months ago looked like it might not be possible.
But thanks to NSW’s high double dose vaccination rate, the students were able to mark a fitting and glamorous end to their high school years.
Year 12 class of 2021 we salute you.
